Born in Havana, Cuba; raised in the Midwest; educated in New York City, Berlin and Los Angeles.
My design career began at the ripe old age of 19 doing windows and merchandising in New York City to put myself through school at the Julliard. If you ask my parents, though, they’d say it was at a much earlier age, more like 12 or 13. I used to redesign and decorate my room at home on a weekly basis, much to the delight of my mother and the chagrin of my father!
After a career as a classical dancer with the New York City ballet, the Boston Ballet and the Washington Ballet, to name a few, I received my degree in Interior Design from UCLA, and my professional career has now spanned over 13 years.
My work as a designer is as quite diverse. I love interior design. I am a very visual person and my surrounding environment is very important to me, but my love of story telling through a visual medium is where my true passion lies. I believe the reason for this stems from my history as a performer. Be it what may; as a Production Designer, Art Director, Interior Designer, Set Decorator or even as a set dresser, I seek not to meet your expectations but to exceed them.
I now reside in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Los Angeles.
